Sandra Bullock Leads Hollywood’s Highest Paid Actress List

Sandra Bullock GravitySandra Bullock is Hollywood’s highest paid actress, with an estimated earnings of $51 million between June 2013 and June 2014. The 50-year old Oscar-winning actress landed on top of Forbes’ annual list of top 10 highest-paid actresses, released this Monday, August 4. The magazine said the data they gathered came from lawyers, agents, and producers.

According to Forbes, most of Bullock’s earnings for the past 12 months came from her 2013 space thriller movie “Gravity,” which made $716 million worldwide. The film won seven out of ten Oscar nominations, including Best Director and Best Visual Effects. Sandra Bullock was nominated for Best Actress, but lost to Cate Blanchett of “Blue Jasmine.”

Meanwhile, “Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence landed on the second spot, with an estimated earnings of $34 million. Forbes credited the Hunger Games franchise for most of her earnings. Her three last movies were “American Hustle,” “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” and “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” Her upcoming movie “Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” will be released in November.

Jennifer Aniston, whose estimated earnings was $31 million, landed on the third spot. Her earnings mostly came from her lucrative product endorsements. The 45-year old “Friends” actress also starred in films such as “We’re the Millers” and “Horrible Bosses 2.” Landing on fourth place Gwyneth Paltrow, han estimated earnings of $19 million; mostly came from the mega-blockbuster movie, “Iron Man 3.”

Two actresses were tied for the fifth place – Angelina Jolie and Cameron Diaz. Each of them had estimated earnings of $18 million. The amount is nearly half of the $33 million that Jolie earned in 2013, when she was named the highest paid actress. Forbes emphasized that her earnings for the 2014 hit movie “Maleficent” was credited last year.

The remaining four female stars in the list are: Scarlett Johansson ($17 million), Amy Adams ($13 million), Natalie Portman ($13 million), and Kristen Stewart ($12 million).
