Michael Jackson feared of being shot on stage

Michael Jackson on stageMichael Jackson feared on stage of being shot just before the end of his life and even said farewell to friends, a few weeks before his death in 2009, according to a close friend of the late singer.

Michael Jackson predicted his own death, only that he feared he would be shot dead on stage, said a friend of his, Jason Pfeiffer, who worked for the artist’s dermatologist Arnold Klein.

“The last time I saw him he was saying his goodbyes to everyone in the office.” He added: “It was like he knew he was never coming back, and he would often say he thought he was going to be shot on stage.”

Pfeiffer’s statement comes just a few days after the start of a lawsuit aimed at clarifying the circumstances in which Michael Jackson died in 2009.

Pfeiffer said that Michael Jackson chose London as the venue of a series of 50 concerts announced shortly before he died because he feared that he will be shot in the U.S.

Singer’s mother, Katherine Jackson, and his children Prince, Paris and Blanket, have sued the company organizing the concert, AEG Live, accusing it of putting too much pressure on Michael Jackson while he was preparing for a series of 50 concerts in London, despite his fragile state of health.

During rehearsals for those shows, Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, from an overdose of propofol, a powerful sedative that the American pop star was using as a sleep aid, with the complicity of doctor Conrad Murray.

Jackson family is seeking compensation of $40 billion from AEG Live, accused of negligence in hiring doctor Conrad Murray, found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after the death of famous singer famous. The doctor was sentenced to four years in prison.

Several Hollywood stars could be requested to testify in this trial. Among the names cited by the American press is his ex-wife, Lisa Marie Presley, his children and siblings, singer Diana Ross, music producer Quincy Jones, filmmaker Spike Lee, Sharon Osbourne and singer Prince.

The civil case, expected to last about three months, started Tuesday with the jury selection.
