Hollywood superstars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are finally married. The Brangelina couple had a private wedding ceremony in France on Saturday, August 23, 2014. This is after being together for 12 years with tons of rumors and speculations, nearly a decade after the release of their first movie together, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, in 2005.
The much-awaited wedding was so secret that Angelina didn’t even tell it to her actor father, Jon Voight. No media was invited and there were no official wedding photos released. However, a source close to E! News says that the “Maleficent” star wore a white wedding dress and that the “gown was very traditional by very Angie.” The name of the designer is not yet known as of this time.
Angelina Jolie was also said to be wearing accessories that belong to her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who passed away in January 2007 due to ovarian cancer. E! News source says the bride looked stunning with her veil and a small gold locket with her mom’s photo in it. The wedding ring was believed to have designed by Robert Procop, the couple’s good friend.
The six children of the world’s hottest celebrity couple today were also present in their wedding. Maddox Chivan, 13, Pax Thien, 11, Zahara Marley, 9, Shiloh Nouvel, 8, and 6-year old twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline. Angelina’s eldest sons walked with her down the aisle while Zahara and Vivienne were the ones who threw the petals. Shiloh and Knox served as the ring bearers.
Brad, 50, and Angelina, 39, recently obtained a marriage license from a California judge. The same judge conducted the wedding ceremony in a small chapel at Chateau Miraval, France, where the couple has an estate. There were a total of 22 guests, most of them family members of the “Fury” actor. Bill and Jane Pitt, Brad’s parents, were also present, along with Doug Pitt and Julie Pitt, Brad’s siblings.
This is the second marriage for Pitt, who married actress Jennifer Aniston in 2000. They separated five years later. For Jolie, this is here third after being married to Jonny Lee Miller from 1996 to 1999. They separated in 1997. Angelina married Billy Bob Thornton in 2000, and their divorced was finalized in May 2003. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt announced their engagement in April 2012.
