Black Eyed Peas in the Super Bowl Opening

The Grammy award-winning band Black Eyed Peas announced on their website that they would be performing during the Super Bowl slot on February 6 next year.

A halftime performance at the Super Bowl has become one of the most wanted, as it is the peak of the American football season which attracts the highest number of watchers in all US musical events. The last one had 153 million American viewers, according to the band.

They will be joining recent Super Bowl opening performers, such as Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, The Who, Prince, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and U2.

The US band which has sold some 28 million albums all over the world and more than 30 million digital songs, will release a new album on November 30. The forthcoming album is entitled “The Beginning”.

The next Super Bowl will be held at a newly built stadium of the Dallas Cowboys in city of Arlington in the state of Texas.
