What if you could charge batteries anytime you just shaking and shaking it a bit? Brother Industries Ltd has developed a type of battery that is charging by means of vibration.
As its name says, “Vibration-Powered Generating Battery” charging through the vibrations generated shaking them, even when placed within the gadget for providing energy. It was created for devices do not always need energy (such as a remote control, for example) and has energy of up to 100mW.
The company developed this battery in two sizes, AA and AAA, and it may completely replace normal if a battery is used for low-power gadgets that consume less. The technology is based on a generator of electromagnetic induction and a double layer capacitor at 500mF.
The invention has been presented for the first time in Techno-Frontier 2010 in Tokyo, Japan. This company will demonstrate how “Vibration-Powered Generating Battery” works on gadgets like a TV remote or an LED flashlight.
