Wedding dress of Kate Middleton, exhibited at Buckingham

The wedding dress of Kate Middleton will be exhibited this summer at the Buckingham Palace in London, along with other items used by the Duchess on her wedding day.

Those who have not had the opportunity to see it live, can now admire the dress bearing the signature of Alexander McQueen house and worth £ 250,000, according to DailyMail.

The satin and organza dress, with a lace bodice, Sarah Burton creation, and also the silk tulle veil were real “state secrets” until 29 April wedding day. Alongside these, the wedding shoes, created by the same designer, will also be seen.

The wedding cake has been preserved with great care. The guests to the wedding could only see the wedding cake, but instead they ate a chocolate cake, most preferred by the Prince since childhood.

The jewelry is not missing from the exhibits collection. Visitors can admire the wedding rings received from the bride’s parents, and the 1936 tiara, which has 1,000 diamonds and was borrowed from Queen Elizabeth II.

The duchess and Her Majesty will be present today at the Palace for the official opening of the exhibition.

The number of people visiting the palace could exceed the record of 420,000 set in 1994. Buckingham Palace will be open for ten weeks starting Saturday, July 23, until October 3, and the price of a ticket is £17.50.
